Trading Pairs and Duration
In terms of swing trading there is no best currency pair to trade, you can trade any of the major currencies or crosses. As long as you have good liquidity, volatility is high and pip spreads are tight, you can swing trade a currency pair – so how long does a typical trade last?
A typical swing trade, will last from between a day and a week and one point we want to make clear – is that each currency may give you 2 – 4 good swing trades a month. You only want to trade when the set ups are right! I see many traders looking to trade everyday but this just means making effort for efforts sake and you don’t get rewarded for that, just being right. Let’s first look do a quick summary of the 3 indicators we normally use and then apply the MACD into the mix.

General Rules for Using the Stochastic

Trading Set Ups Using – the RSI Stochastic and Bollinger Band
This simple method combines the volatility of the Bollinger Band to isolate overbought and oversold levels to set up possible swing trading scenarios and adding the RSI and Stochastic in as the timing indicators to enter the trades. Lets take the graph we have just looked at above and add these indicators in:
So general rules of the above method are:

Using The MACD with Bollinger Bands, RSI and the Stochastic:
Now lets take the above chart and add in the indicators above and see what the combination looks like and how the indicators come together. We use the stochastic as our main tool to enter trades and the advantage of combining it with the MACD is that it will allow you to filter trades better in terms of entry – this will become clearer if we look at some charts.
When using the above indicators keep the above in mind as general guidelines:
1. Always look to trade on high volatility on spikes to or outside of the bands.
2. Look at the MACD lines in view of – the further away from the centre line the better in terms of spotting trading opportunities.
3. When looking for trading scenarios – look for the MACD line to lose momentum and check the stochastic and RSI.
4. If the stochastic is at an extreme and the MACD line is losing momentum – your signal to sell, can be from the stochastic so long it is overbought or oversold. How many times have you missed a crucial moment because you didn't hit the record button in time? In this mode, the GY-HM600U continually records up to 15 seconds in cache memory. When the trigger is pressed, the live signal is appended to the cache recording, giving you a head start in getting the shot. This feature is invaluable in capturing breaking events when the shot would be lost before a traditional camera could begin recording.
This feature allows you to record single frames at set intervals, which can be used to shoot slow-moving scenes, such as sunsets or construction, or to capture time-lapse recordings such as the growing of plants.
Variable Frame Rate Recording (Over Crank, Under Crank)
When recording in the 720p 35Mbps mode, the camera can be set to record at a frame rate different than the playback rate. This capability makes it possible to record slow or fast motion when the recording is played back at 24p, 25p or 30p. The GY-HM600 can also under-crank in the 1080p 35Mbps mode.

For live broadcast applications, or for monitoring, the GY-HM600 provides an uncompressed, 4:2:2 full HD or downconverted SD signal via its HD/SD SDI connector. The signal can come from either the camera or from memory playback. When downconverted, the video may be in either PAL or NTSC depending on the HD mode selected: 60Hz (23.98p, 29.97p, 59.94p/i) = NTSC, 50Hz (25p, 50p/i) = PAL. The HD/SD SDI output is via a BNC connector and includes embedded uncompressed audio. It is also possible to output the menus and clip viewer via the HD/SD SDI output.
An HDMI connector outputs the same signal as the HD-SDI connector, especially useful for monitoring while shooting a live event. The HDMI output may be switched to RGB mode when monitoring via computer.

Time Code Sync
With TC Sync functionality, two GY-HM600 series cameras may be synchronized with time code using an RCA cable. The terminal is used for both in/out functions allowing either unit to be the master, ensuring that the same time code will be recorded on both cameras.
Wired Remote Control Connection
The GY-HM600 comes with a wired remote interface (2.5mm connector) for operating the camcorder remotely when using a tripod, jib, crane or boom. LANC (Control-L) compatible devices may be used with this connector.
Audio Recording and Monitoring Flexibility
The GY-HM600 records 2 channels of 16 bit/48Khz uncompressed LPCM audio (MPEG2) and 16 bit/48Khz 256kbps audio (AVCHD). Audio levels can be controlled manually, or automatically using AGC. A switchable audio limiter is provided. Audio frequencies may be adjusted with a multi-band audio equalizer. An audio meter is displayed on the LCD and VF to facilitate adjustment. Balanced XLR connectors with 48V phantom power are provided on the handle for a external microphones. Versatile input switching allows the microphone signal to be directed to the desired channel.
The side panel is equipped with screw mounts to attach a bracket (CA-UP600) for an optional wireless receiver. Dedicated mic and headphone jacks are provided for this purpose.
High-Capacity Battery Systems
Capture more footage and clock more recording time with the newly developed high-capacity (4900mAh) battery. Continuous operating time using the supplied SSL-JVC50 battery is approximately 2 hours, 45 minutes.* An optional dual battery charger (LC-2J) is available. In addition, it is also possible to charge the battery when the camera is switched off and plugged in using the supplied AC adapter. Charging time of SSL-JVC50 battery is approximately 4 hours.
*Actual operating time may differ depending on the age of the battery, charging condition and operating environment.

Studies using intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) in the treatment of head and neck tumors have shown to decrease acute and late radiation toxicity. However, the high conformity of this technique can increase the risk of recurrence due to geographic miss. The aim of this study was to analyze whether the results of IMRT met the theoretical expectations concerning treatment efficacy.
From a total of 185 patients (152 males and 33 females, mean age 58±10.36 years) 176 were evaluable and were studied. Eighty-nine (48.1%) patients had surgical treatment and 50 of them were scheduled for concomitant cisplatin chemotherapy. Irradiation was performed using IMRT, a sliding window with 9 fields in a Varian 2100 C/D linear accelerator, X-ray beam, 6 MeV. The prescribed dose in the planning treatment volume (PTV1), i. e. the area of the primary tumor and nodal area, was 66 Gy/2.2 Gy-70 Gy/2.12 Gy. In the PTV2 (the area at high risk) the dose was 60Gy/2 Gy-59.4 Gy/ 1.8 Gy, and in the PTV 3 (the area treated with prophylactic irradiation) the prescribed dose was 54 Gy/1.8 Gy/50.4 Gy/1.53 Gy.
The 3-year overall survival (OS) and relapse-free survival (RFS) of IMRT-treated patients, most of whom were in stages III and IV (158 out of 177), were 50 and 57%, respectively. Using postoperative radiotherapy/chemoradiotherapy 3-year locoregioncal control was achieved in 75% of the cases as compared with 35% in non-operated patients.
CONCLUSIONES:
The worst outcomes were found in oral cavity and hypopharyngeal tumors, and the best in laryngeal and oropharyngeal tumors. Better results were found in surgically treated patients, and in lower disease stages. Despite the high conformity of dose distribution and efforts to spare healthy tissues, most cases of locoregional relapse occurred in areas receiving the full radiation dose. If dividing relapses into cases of persistence and local recurrence, the former predominated.

1. PURPOSE OF THE RADIATION SAFETY HANDBOOK
The University of Colorado Radiation Safety Handbook (RSH) is intended to be a user’s guide for anyone working with radioactive materials and/or radiation. Radioactive materials and radiation include unsealed sources, sealed sources, x-rays, and lasers. The RSH is required by the University’s Radioactive Materials License. This chapter will address basic radiation safety concepts including some background information for reference use. It will also address the University’s Radioactive Materials License, regulations, and inspections.
2. FUNDAMENTALS OF RADIATION SAFETY
Radioactivity is defined as the spontaneous emission of radiation, generally alpha or beta particles, often accompanied by gamma rays, from the nucleus of an unstable atom. Radiation may be particles [alpha, beta, neutron] or photons [gamma, x-ray] emitted from an unstable radioactive atom as a result of radioactive decay. All of these types of radiation are represented at the University of Colorado. Each type of radiation has unique safety considerations and handling techniques that will be discussed in this chapter.
Background Radiation
Radiation is part of everyday life. There are many sources of natural “background” radiation, both external and internal. External radiation sources include cosmic (beyond the Earth’s atmosphere) and terrestrial (the Earth’s contribution) radiation. Internal radiation sources include carbon ( 14 C), potassium ( 40 K), numerous other minerals which make up bones and soft tissues, and radon deposited in the lungs through inhalation. The average radiation dose from exposure to natural and man-made background radiation in the United States is approximately 360 mrem per year (see common units below and the glossary for an explanation of these units). As a rough estimate or rule of thumb, this value doubles for each mile of elevation gain. Therefore, living in Boulder, Denver, or Colorado Springs increases the average background dose to approximately 500-600 mrem per year. The increase is due to a higher contribution from cosmic radiation at higher altitudes and terrestrial radiation, specifically the transuranic elements.
Common Units
There are many units used to describe activity, dose, dose equivalent, and exposure. In the United States, conventional units are still being used, although the complete conversion to the Systeme International (SI) units may happen in the future. At the present time, SI units are used in addition to conventional units on packages and radiation sources. At the University of Colorado, subdivisions of units such as millicuries (mCi) and millirem (mrem) are used, but both SI and conventional units are acceptable.
The conventional unit for radioactivity is the Curie (Ci). One Curie is equal to 3.7 x 10 10 nuclear disintegrations or decays per second. Other conventional units include the rad for dose and the rem for dose equivalent. Rad is an acronym for Radiation Absorbed Dose and rem is an acronym for Roentgen Equivalent Man. Dose equivalent was developed in an effort to incorporate biology into the physics of radiation exposure. Not all forms of radiation produce the same biological effect. For example, 1 rad of beta radiation is not equivalent to 1 rad of neutron radiation. However, 1 rem of beta radiation is equivalent to 1 rem of neutron radiation. Exposure is defined only for gamma or x-rays in air, not tissue. Roentgen (R) is the unit of exposure. Many radiation survey meters use units of milliroentgen (mR). Please refer to the Glossary for additional clarification of these terms.
The SI unit of radioactivity is the Becquerel (Bq) which is equivalent to one disintegration or decay per second. The SI unit of dose is a Gray (Gy) and the unit of dose equivalent is a Sievert (Sv), both of which are equivalent to 1 Joule per kilogram by definition. As mentioned previously, not all forms of radiation produce the same biological effect. For example, 1 Gray (Gy) of beta radiation is not equivalent to 1 Gray (Gy) of neutron radiation. However, 1 Sievert (Sv) of beta radiation is equivalent to 1 Sievert (Sv) of neutron radiation.
